SCRIPTURE: “I have loved you, My people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to Myself.” ( Jeremiah 31:3 NLT)
QOUTE: “God’s love never wears out”. -Rick Warren
NOTE:
When we say that God’s love is unfailing, we mean that God’s love is as constant as the ‘northern star’. It is unchanging, it is permanent. Government fails, people make promises and fail to keep them, friendship can fail, your own love for someone can wane, but the love of God can never fail. The love of God is eternal, it is endless in it’s effect and impact on mankind. No human being can have unfailing love, no family can have unfailing love, no human community can have unfailing love. God is the only One that love us the way we are.
Our good works can never qualify us for God’s love. Irrespective of our capacity to do wrong, God is willing and able to lavish His love on us. Do not let any preacher deceive you by telling you that God hates you because of your sins. God hates your sinful acts but God can never hate anyone. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us. — 1 John 4:10 NIV.
ILLUSTRATION:
This is what scripture says: “I’ll call nobodies and make them some bodies; I’ll call the unloved and make them beloved: (Romans 9:25 MSG.) When Jesus died on the Cross, God demonstrated his greatest love for mankind. Wherever you are reading this piece from, you must truly yield to God’s unfailing love. You must give your life to Christ so that all of the spiritual blessings we have been blessed with can be yours.
REFLECTION:
- Today, are you willing to surrender to His love?
