SCRIPTURE: Arise and walk in the land through the length and breadth of it because I have given it to you. (Genesis 13:17, NKJV)
QUOTE: Faith is not only daring to believe, it is also daring to act. -Wilfred Peterson.
NOTE:
Jesus declared on the cross those immortal words “Tetelestai” which means; “It is finished”. Victories have already been wrought for you and it is time for you to begin to appropriate all that is yours in redemption and live in their reality. There are many things you need to begin to walk in. Positionally, they are yours but you must swim out of safe harbor to reach them. You must be ready to put feet to your faith and put paid to your fears.
It is not the number of years you have been saved that counts but the number of steps you have taken since you’ve been saved. The best of God is not docking at some safe harbor; it is offshore, waiting for those who are willing to dare the odds and back the crowd in order to experience all that is possible in God. So your faith is your access card and winning ace to possess everything that is rightfully yours. However, the word “possess” is not a passive word at all, it is a military term that implies active engagement.
ILLUSTRATION:
The daring adventure of the four leprous men in second kings 7 comes to fore. The entire city of Samaria was scared and starving to death. Their enemies have fled by the noise of on-rushing horses. There was abundance of goodies some distance away, according to the words of Prophet Elisha, but Nobody sees, nobody tries, and nobody goes. They sat in terror and starvation.
However, the four wretched lepers at the gate took a walk of faith, they said to one another, “Why sit here until we die?” They arose and went, got the banquet God has prepared for them, and brought the liberating news to the entire city.
REFLECTION:
- What walk of faith must you embark on before this month or year runs out?
