SCRIPTURE: Wait on the Lord, be of good courage and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord! (Psalm 27:14, NKJV).
QUOTE: “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” -Isaiah Amoz
NOTE:
To make sense of your faith and your leadership status, you must constantly learn to wait on God. No season or desire by itself can fulfill itself. There is something about a man initiating a divine visitation, you can make it happen. Prayer is the mother of events. It is often ‘knee marks’ that create ‘land marks’. When you pray, you are demonstrating faith, trust and a sense of persuasion as far as the faithfulness of God is concerned. Prayer is an act of faith.
Your leadership consciousness should always draw you to the place of prayer. Every time you demonstrate faith in God, you receive strength for the next level. What you pray about you always bring about. Prayer will bring heaven into your situation and causes you to rise above the tide of the toughest of times. The best years of your life are yet to be lived and the best part of your story is waiting to be told. Howbeit, God beckons on you today, saying; “Wait on Me!”.
ILLUSTRATION:
Ezra once boasted to a king about how great his God is; who looks after all who seek Him. The king could have supplied a cavalry bodyguard to protect Ezra, his people and possessions from bandits on their journey. Shortly, the reality of the journey dawned on Ezra, he became too embarrassed to go back to the king for help. He however, backed up his faith by waiting on God; he proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava. A fast to pray for God’s guidance for their journey. So, God honored his faith and affirmed his claims. (Ezra 8: 21-23)
REFLECTION:
- Are you fainting, weary and stressed? Don’t throw in the towel yet, go the Ezra way!
