BEYOND THE PRESENT: A GOOD NAME

SCRIPTURE: “…I will make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.”  (Genesis 12:3, NKJV)

QUOTE: “A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, loving favor rather than silver and gold.”  -King Solomon

NOTE:

Good success is generating good works worthy of emulation and building a good name worthy of reference in the next generation. Lasting success has much more to do with the integrity of your name than with spreading of your fame. Your name is the contact link to your upcoming generation. Good name endures more than riches.

A good name can connect you to a lifetime opportunity and also open doors for you. As leaders, we need to start producing results that will outlive our personalities and outlast generations by building a good name. Your business, ministry and institutions will lack patronage if it is not built on the integrity of a good name. All across generations, successful people have been marketing their names and not necessarily their products.

ILLUSTRATION:

David Jesse was at the back side of the wilderness, but his name was recommended in the Palace for his uniqueness (1 Samuel 16:18). Today his name has reverberated through many generations. Thousands are named after him, because of his good work and reasonable impact.

REFLECTION:

If you desire true and lasting success in life, then focus on building a good name!
