SCRIPTURE: So then, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. (Galatians 6:10)
QUOTE: “The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” ―Ralph Waldo Emerson
NOTE:
As much as the opportunity for others’ growth lies within your capacity, make it happen for them. This is the very character of our God. One of the many ways to build a transformational team is to trust them more. No one becomes transformational if opportunities are not afforded to him or her. The simple thought of greater opportunity to do and be more one has, the more that individual will put in. it also goes to show you value your them and ultimately want the best for them.
ILLUSTRATION:
What we see today in the Christian faith is a product of the exceptional leadership and plan of God. It was a well-calculated risk that has and is still paying off even today. His action in leaving the whole crusade in the hands of men can be likened to a CEO retiring after just 4 years of starting his company, leaving it in the hands of employees he knows still have faults in handling the business. That singular action of Christ pushed the Apostles to trust and work day and night to ensure it didn’t die in their hands. We are reaping the benefits till today.
REFLECTION:
- Are you giving opportunities for growth to your team members?
- How will you do better?
