SCRIPTURE: “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who lives in you.” (Romans 8:11, AMP)
QUOTE: “Within the walls of our own homes, we can and should bear pure testimony of the divinity and reality of the Father and the Son, of the great plan of happiness, and that of Restoration.” -David A. Bednar
NOTE:
One major significance of the resurrection of Christ Jesus, is that of restoration. The worst thing that can happen to you is not death but to lose hope while you live. It is true that sometimes, life deals a deadly blow at our dreams and aspirations! There are times every fantastic edifice you’ve built in your mind’s eye seem to be crumbling. At such hours, it is human to get frustrated and discouraged in the game of life. Things do go wrong, but wrong things can be made right if you receive today the restoration power available in Jesus.
Today, Jesus wants to give life to every dead goal and dream in your life. He is saying you can’t afford to waste your today and abort your tomorrow because of the failures of the past. You can’t afford to hang your boot now. To give up is to despise His sacrifice on the cross and disdain the power that brought Him back to life from the abyss of hell. He rose up in victory to restore every deadness around you and in our world at large.
ILLUSTRATION:
He met Simeon Peter in his hopeless and helpless state. He and his skillful team had toiled all night, yet without a catch. One contact, and his success was guaranteed. He had a net-breaking testimony. You too can, you will!
REFLECTION:
How much do you believe in the power of God to restore lost years?
