MOVING FORWARD 2: CONSIDER WHAT YOU’VE HELPED OTHERS ACHIEVE

SCRIPTURE: QUOTE: “Moses’ father-in-law said to him, “The thing that you are doing is not good. You will certainly wear out both yourself and these people who are with you, because the task is too heavy for you [to bear]; you cannot do it alone.” (Exodus 18:17-18 (AMP)

QUOTE: “Successful people are always looking for opportunities to help others. Unsuccessful people are always asking, ‘What’s in it for me?’” -Brian Tracy

NOTE:

Simply achieving success should not be your goal of life. You need to be a better and nicer person as well. It isn’t that easy to be a nice person and yet, achieve success. If you don’t know what to do with your life, just concentrate on becoming a better and nicer person. One of the keys to becoming a nicer person is to help other people become more successful. It could very much be possible that n the course of helping other people, you will begin to realize your own goals.

Helping others will add meaning and sense to your life than otherwise. Even if you don’t know what you are doing, success might naturally come to you in the course of helping people. Helping other people will not only improve you as a person but will also help achieve success. If nothing else, it will help you find the true meaning of success. Hence, the path to success is only through helping other people achieve their own success. Thus, help people and while you are at it, find your way through.

ILLUSTRATION:

Now a Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, an eloquent man, came to Ephesus; and he was mighty in the Scriptures. This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he was speaking and teaching accurately the things concerning Jesus, being acquainted only with the baptism of John; and he began to speak out boldly in the synagogue. But when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately. (Acts 18:18)

REFLECTION:

Are you predisposed to helping people up the ladder?
