SCRIPTURE: “You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” (Psalms 16:11 KJV)
QOUTE: “The greatest pleasure of life is love.” -Euripides
NOTE:
Pleasure must be captured in the equation of love for it to be a genuine love. There must be satisfaction that comes with loving someone. The fulfilment derived in liking someone. God takes delight in loving us so much that he gave His only begotten son to die for us. Today, a lot of marriages are in comatose because of lack of the pleasure of love. Some are frustrated in their jobs because there is no joy working for other people. Relationships are collapsing for lack of fulfilment that comes with it. Love must be expressed in gratification. Without pleasure we cannot get the best out of our relationships with God and with men.
ILLUSTRATION: (ESTHER CHAPTER 1)
Once upon a time, king Ahasuerus finds fulfilment and gratification in Queen Vashti wearing her royal crown and showing off her beauty. It was satisfying for the king to show forth the Queen, for she was extremely beautiful to behold. A day came the Queen missed the purpose of her being in the palace. The day she refused the king order, their relationship was strained, the pleasure she gives ceased, for the king was furious and she lost her place and space.
REFLECTION:
Are you fulfilled with your relationships? If No, what must you do today to reignite the joy?
