LOVE REMINDERS: WALK IN LOVE

SCRIPTURE: “And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.” (1 Corinthians 13:2 KJV)

QUOTE: “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care. -Anonymous.

NOTE:

At every point of our existence, we must realize that who we are is more important than what we can do. That character will always supersede charisma. Love changes the way we handle every life’s situation. If somebody offends you, love emboldens you to not respond to the offense accordingly, but to act in love by forgiving the offender. It doesn’t matter if you are a pastor, leader or a layman. What matters is whether your character and life reflect Jesus Christ or not. If we follow and imbibe the nature of Jesus, there will be no need to prove that we are Christians. Our love and our works will convince people better than a thousand sermons.

ILLUSTRATION:

In John 6: Jesus showed us a prototype on how to walk love. He was an astounding teacher of his time, a miracle worker of repute. He was the celebrity whose name has travelled far and wide. Hence naturally, multitude followed him everywhere he went to. Aside all His profound Resume, he had a touch of love, expressing compassion to feed 5000 people, miraculously.

REFLECTION:

What will you do differently today, to have a touch of care, concern and compassion?
