SCRIPTURE: “I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called.” (Ephesians 4:1KJV)
QUOTE: “The right decisions are always the hardest to make. But they must be made anyways, in order to live the life you desire. – Trent Shelton
NOTE:
Leaders are expected to walk in God’s will throughout their time on earth. They must deliberately choose to serve Him rather than the gods of this world. Joshua had demonstrated that it’s possible to follow God and serve Him for a lifetime in the midst of difficult circumstances and perverseness. He wanted all Israel to imitate his example and follow God fully. Paul’s calling as an apostle to the Gentiles was unique. Not only did he encounter the Lord Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus, but throughout his ministry God often revealed His will through direct revelation. For the great majority of us as believers, God’s will have been revealed in the pages of the Scriptures. Question is, “Do you search the Scriptures for His will?”
ILLUSTRATION:
“And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.” (Acts 20:22 KJV)
REFLECTION:
What do you think are some of the concerns of all dedicated believers who are determined to live in God’s will?
