CREATING THE FUTURE: ENGAGE THE PROCESS

SCRIPTURE: “Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.” (Deut. 2:24 KJV)

QUOTE: “Success is a function of the process and its results are in phases.” -Anonymous.

NOTE:

Having a glorious future will be a resultant effect of the process; precept upon precept, line upon line. It is not an overnight achievement. The future itself is not an end, rather, it is making progressive and satisfactory records in your daily adventure. God Himself demonstrated this principle when He created the earth and its fullness.

The journey of destiny is not an overnight arrival as some may assume, it is the result of overtime investments. It involves taking steps that conform to the principles of your desired and preferred end. Whatever makes you boycott the process will only short-change your destiny and end the journey abruptly. There is no free ride to the park to achieve greatness, everyone must pay the required fare.

ILLUSTRATION:

Joseph the dreamer beheld his glorious future twice in a dream. But that was not enough to exclude him from the process life is customized with. He went through a somewhat tough process; The pit scenario, the Potiphar’s wife drama, and the prison experience. In all, he kept the picture of a better future until he arrived there as a Prime Minister. He broke the record by being the first Slave and foreigner to so attain such a glorious position. Before you break the record, you will first bear the burden.

REFLECTION:

Can you identify the processes you’ve got to engage to arrive at your desired end?
