SCRIPTURE: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:” (Matthew 7:7 KJV)
QUOTE: “Preconceived ideas can sometimes become barriers.” – Rocky Bleier
NOTE:
Breaking new ground is about thinking ahead, walking ahead, forging ahead, and digging deep to get your desired treasures. However, it’s good to know that you can’t break any new ground without a crucial enquiry system in place. (i.e., making inquiry or asking questions from God and the relevant authorities around you) This entails asking crucial questions like? What to do, why? When? How? Where? etc. It involves more of enquiry than making request. The art of asking questions is an important skill for any conversation. Asking questions can help you get more information, as well as clarity on issues you may not be familiar with. In our human conversations, we encourage ourselves to ask questions when we have doubts. However, when we pray to our Heavenly Father, we just bring our request to him, and most times fail to ask him some relevant questions, to find out whether or not it is His will. Those who enquire from God and the relevant authority’s genuine questions will always receive genuine answers.
ILLUSTRATION:
“And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, what shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God? And the people answered him after this manner, saying, so, shall it be done to the man that killeth him.”
REFLECTION:
Do you ask relevant questions or always work things out solely by preconceived ideas?
