LEADING INNOVATIVE TEAMS: CREATIVITY

NOTE:

Creativity is an important trait for leaders to possess, as it allows them to come up with innovative solutions to problems and think outside the box. A creative leader is able to see things from different perspectives and generate new ideas, which can lead to a more efficient and effective organization.

Creative leadership can also be seen in the way a leader manages and leads their team, they can come up with new ways to motivate and inspire employees, create a positive and productive work environment, and foster a culture of collaboration and experimentation. Overall, creativity is a key trait for leaders to possess in today’s fast-paced and ever-changing environment. It allows leaders to adapt to new challenges and find new opportunities for growth and success.

ILLUSTRATION:

One example of a leader who used creativity in his leadership style is Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple. Jobs was known for his ability to think differently and come up with innovative products, such as the iPod and iPhone, that changed the way people interact with technology. He also fostered a culture of creativity within the company, encouraging his employees to think differently and take risks.

Another example is Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla. Musk is known for his ambitious goals, such as sending humans to Mars and revolutionizing the automotive industry with electric cars. He has also been able to attract top talent to his companies by fostering a culture of innovation and encouraging employees to think big and take risks.
