DIVINE HELP 1

SCRIPTURE: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.” Psalm 46:1-3 (NIV).

QUOTE: “After every storm the sun will smile; for every problem there is a solution, and the soul’s indefeasible duty is to be of good cheer.” -William R. Alger.

NOTE:

King Uzziah was marvelously helped until he attained such a height of greatness which could not be contested. 2Chro. 26:15. This tells us that when God decides to save He saves completely, delivers completely and helps completely.

The word “when” italized in 2Chro. 26: 15 speaks of the fact that God does not operate in the realm of our timing. When does divine help come? It comes at the right time! “God shall help us and that right early.” Ps. 46:5.

There are certain achievements you may never accomplish without divine assistance. There are also certain problems beyond human knowledge and wisdom, but God is All-knowing and with Him nothing is impossible!

ILLUSTRATION:

“Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father of all light, in whom there is no variableness nor shadow of turning. God is the source of every help. James 1:17.

REFLECTION:

  1. Does asking for help demean a man?
  2. Are you restrained from asking for help, why?
