MOVE FORWARD 7: IT STARTS NOW!

SCRIPTURE: “This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.” (Ex. 12:2 KJV)

QUOTE: “The morning shows the day.” -Anonymous

NOTE:

Success in life is founded upon attention to the small things rather than to the large things.” Our lives are a large collection of single days one right after the other. The sun rises, sets, and rises again. And in the end, the lives we choose to live will be determined by how we choose to spend each day. Unfortunately, for most of our lives, we embraced little intentionality in early days. We survived each new day, but made little effort to making every day count. Instead, they simply just came and went… and many were wasted before we learned how to make the most of our day.

However, over the past few years, I guess our views have changed. We have begun to view each day as an important gift. We have sought to embrace each one individually and discover the potential that it holds. After all, some may get more days than others, but each of us have been given this one life. And we ought to be making the most of our lives. January carries the womb of the entire year, so the way we handle it will determine what the end might turn out. In this month, promise yourself that you will do the following throughout the months: Wake up early. Eat right. Exercise often. Accomplish one big task. Do one thing that you love. Rest effectively. Be present with others. Give to someone else.  Nurture your soul. Reset.

ILLUSTRATION:

“We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work.”

REFLECTION:

  1. How did you handle your early life?
  2. How are you handling your present life?
