CREATING THE FUTURE: BEHOLDING SUCCESS

SCRIPTURE: “Brothers, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13-14, NIV)

QUOTE: “If you do not know where you are going, everywhere may look like it.” – Bishop David Oyedepo.

NOTE:

Beyond the present simply means, getting there from here. For everyone destined for greatness, there is a place called “THERE” for you. A place of expression, fulfilment and great impact. A place where your desires are met, and purpose is actualized. However, like Apostle Paul, you must be able to define reality first; forgetting what is behind you and beholding a new dimension of success. Someone said ‘success is the accomplishment of a defined goal, the attainment of a desired end, and fulfillment of a worthy course in life.’ In pursuit of success, the subject must first be defined before it is desired, else it becomes an illusion. The place of clarity is very key to forge ahead in life. It eliminates confusion and gives you a focused attention. So, where is your destination and what direction are you, becomes a veritable question, today.

ILLUSTRATION:

And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever.” (Gen. 13:14-15 kjv). When God was determined to change levels for Abram, He only asked him to lift up his eyes and behold from the place where he was.

REFLECTION:

From where you are, what can you see next about your business, career, family and ministry?
